Education system of Pakistan - Ranking

 Let's measure Pakistan's education spending as percentage of GDP:

 

Since 1971, Education spending rose to the highest value 3% of GDP, in 1987 and 1997. After that it rose to 2.7 in 2016. 

 

The last reported spending is 1.9% of GDP. Out of 156 countries, Pakistan thus ranks 139. This means there are only 17 countries in the World who spend less percentage of their GDP on education than Pakistan, and 138 countries or regions who spend more than Pakistan. 

 

 

So is the sorry state of affairs in a country that vows to "educate the children of its enemies".
